Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Taylor is an American actress and producer famous for the roles she played as the character of Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and the television show The Mentalist. She earned the B.A. with a major in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting from Tisch School of Acting at New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actor and producer who is involved in the world of film and on television. Aunjanue L. Ellis began her acting in theatre. Later, she appeared in television programs along with independent and mainstream film. She was known for appearing in the role of Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) as well as in BET's epic The Book of Negroes. The two series garnered critical acclaim, but she also received a number of awards. In 1995, she was the first to appear in the role of Ariel on stage as Ariel in The Tempest. On Broadway she's appeared on stage in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. Her film career is highlighted by her roles on Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. She is also well-known for her role on ABC's crime drama High Incident.
